Amazing Ayurvedic Herbs for Boosting your Immunity

1. 5 grams of neem leaves

Grind 5 grams of neem leaves to make a fine paste using mortar and pestle. Roll it into a small ball, put it at the back of your throat before swallowing it. Eat this on an empty stomach and do not eat or drink anything for 1 hour. Neem has anti-inflammatory, anti-bacterial, anti-viral, anti-fungal properties and is also a strong spermicidal agent. Neem should not be taken for more than 15 days. Also, don’t use this on pregnant women, children, and senior citizens as it can be a bit strong.

2. 5 grams of Phyllanthus Niruri also known as a stone breaker

Grind 5 grams of Phyllanthus Niruri leaves to make a fine paste using mortar and pestle. Roll it into a small ball and take it on an empty stomach in the morning. Phyllanthus Niruri leaves help in dissolving kidney and gall bladder stones. It strengthens your liver, boosts immunity, and helps fight off Hepatitis B. It can also be taken in a capsule form.

3. 1/2 inch freshly peeled ginger

Eat 1/2 inch of freshly peeled ginger before you sit down to eat. Ginger is anti-inflammatory and an antioxidant. Ginger stimulates your metabolism and helps in boosting your immunity.

4. Amala or gooseberry

Eat an amala every day on an empty stomach. Amla or Indian gooseberry is packed with the benefits of Vitamin C, beta-carotene and is a very good source of antioxidants, which helps in boosting the immunity. Eating 1 amla is equal to eating 20 citric fruits.

5. Giloy and Brahmi

Giloy and Brahmi juice are readily available in the market. They can also be taken in capsule form. Incorporate these herbs into your daily regime for boosting your immunity, memory power, strength, and intelligence. These herbs generate heat in the body and if you want to reduce the effect, you can drink a glass of buttermilk post-lunch.
